As part of his visit to Belgium, the CEO of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Visar Fida, took part in the Business Forum in Antwerp, organized by the Office of the Foreign Investment Agency in Brussels, which was attended by more than 100 companies from the region of Flanders, from different sectors including those in the automotive industry, logistics, IT, food industry, textile and others.

Apart from the participation in these events, the CEO Fida conducted intensive negotiations with some of the companies, for realization of their investments in Macedonia.

As a result of these negotiations, two companies have decided to invest in Macedonia, and another company is expected to confirm its investment in the last week of January.

One of the above-mentioned investments is from the textile sector, while the other is from the sector of logistics. In the folowing days, we expect the companies to come out with an official statement.

Today was held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for construction of purchase - distribution center for agricultural products. For this purpose the investor, Turkish company Atay Match bought a land from the municipality with an area of 87 thousand m2 in the industrial zone of Ilinden.

"I am honored that today I can announce a new foreign investment as a result of two years of negotiations and favorable conditions for doing business in the country.With my great pleasure I would like to point out that the results of our work are visible, we expect that in a short time we will be able to announce new projects we are working on.With this investment project we expect our country to have a benefit from different aspects: create new jobs, logistical support,  indirect jobs and connect with domestic companies - suppliers, purchase of domestic production. For these reasons proudly announce the investment project and I welcome Mr. Atay Match in Macedonia.

It's about building a new purchasing and distribution and logistics center in the industrial zone in Ilinden. Investment worth around of  5 million euros in the first phase , with a capacity of 7,000 tones and will employ about 30 people and for a short period of time will reach 100 people.I take this opportunity to welcome the owner, Mr. Atay Match and to wish you successful work. PRESENTATION OF THE MACEDONIA'S TOURISM POTENTIAL TO THE NORWEGIAN TOURIST INDUSTRY

The representative of the international office of the Invest in Macedonia in Norway took part in the event of the Norway Network Forum in Tourism, hosted by ANTOR Norway - the biggest National association of the tourist offices, on 22nd October, enabling to the participants good networking and promotion of the tourism potentials. The forum was attended by representatives from various branches in the Norwegian local tourism industries and international offices from different countries

Within the framework of the event, the economic promoter, Marija Gjosheva-Kovachevikj by direct meetings with businesses and media from tourism sector, used the opportunity to represent Macedonia as a very prosperity tourist destination for the Norwegian marketplace, highlightingthe potentialsin the development of various tourisms such as: lake, cultural, rural, and wine tourism, Macedonian cuisine as well the adventure tourism and others. In addition, information related to government incentives for attraction of tourists and attractive conditionsfor foreign investments in tourism development zones in the Republic of Macedonia were promoted.

Norwegian tourism industry were particularly interested in Macedonia, currently not represented in the tourist offers, at the same time welcoming the recently opened direct WIZZAIR fly between Skopje and Oslo, and consider the need to further strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries.
