The renowned Belgian company SLABINCK NV announced today its investment in the country.
After several months of successful negotiations with the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion, the company decided to invest in Gazi Baba where, to start with, they already obtained a facility and working space in an area of ​​about 900 m2 with plans to expand. The company, which has its headquarters in Bruges, includes in its operations laser cutting and metal processing, and is also one of the biggest customers of one investor already present in one of the Technological Industrial Development Zones.
 
At today's meeting the co-owner and CEO of the company Mr. Luc Slabinck and Deputy Director of the Agency for Foreign Investments, Mr. Kliment Shekerovski formalized the new investment.
 
"I am pleased to have this opportunity, together with Mr. Slabinck, to inform the public about the entry of another reputable company that becomes an integral part of the domestic economy. With the entry of Belgian Slabinck NV, for us as a government team is valorization of all outgoing engagement and efforts to convince them to come to the the Republic of Macedonia, new employment opportunities for our citizens will be created, as well as opportunities for business cooperation with many local clients. It is important for us that in this initial stage equipment and machinery was purchased from domestic companies. As announced by the investor, the expected value of the total investment will about 3 million euros. Today's event is just a confirmation of the successful policy of the Government to attract foreign companies to choose Macedonia as their business destination,"-said the Deputy CEO of the Agency, Mr. Kliment Sekerovski. 
"In the second half of 2014, I had a meeting with Mr. Shekerovski and his team from the Agency for Foreign Investments in Skopje who with their professionalism and continuous support during this period have facilitated me and my family to make a decision to start a new investment project in a then relatively unknown country for us. I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Shekerovski and his team for providing support and I'm sure this will be a good reference for my business partners from Belgium and abroad to invest in Macedonia, where we found  great acceptance."-stated mr. Luc Slabinck.
 
The Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of R. Macedonia will continue to give support and facilitate the companies that decide to chose Macedonia as their next business destination. 
On 26 February, during his visit to Florida, the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia in Washington DC, Mr.Vasko Naumovski in cooperation with the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of R. Macedonia organized a very successful business forum in Fort Lauderdale where excellent conditions for doing business in Macedonia were presented. The event in Fort Lauderdale was addressed by Mr. Per-Olof Loof, CEO of Kemet Electronics, who shared his success story in doing business in Macedonia. The Commissioner Dale V.C. Holness expressed confidence that there is a great future for the promotion of economic relations and cooperation between Broward County and the Republic of Macedonia.
