Macedonian delegation led by Mr. Delev, Deputy Minister of Economy,  Saso Markovski, Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia in Germany and Gjorgji Jovanovski, economic promoter in Hamburg succeesfuly completed their visit to Berlin.

The Agency for Foreign Investments representative in Hamburg presented Macedonia as a favourable business destinbation at the East Forum - Berlin  which is traditionally held in Berlin every year and is a platform for discussions between representatives of the European political and business elite and their partners from the neighboring regions. At the Forum, which was held on April 22, 2015, despite Macedonia, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Georgia and Kazakhstan were also presented. Also, bilateral meetings with German companies and companies with European and global portfolio were held. Macedonia with its competitive investment conditions caused great interest among forum participants. Two major global companies based in Germany agreed to visit Macedonia, while others are discussing the advantages and investment opportunities.

The cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations in the area of ​​investment projects continues in Munich in September under the direction of Mr.  Shekerovski, Deputy Director of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of the Republic of Macedonia.

Invest Macedonia, represented by the economic promoter in Paris, participated in the "Salon du Tourisme" in Paris this week where Macedonia was presented as a tourism destination.

A government delegation led by the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, the Minister for FDI Jerry Naumoff and Deputy CEO of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion Kliment Sekerovski, was in The Hague, where many large Dutch companies had the opportunity to hear about the investment opportunities and benefits offered by the state for doing business in Macedonia.

Several Dutch companies have already invested in Macedonia and have a positive experience from the development of their business plans which shows that there is considerable potential and interest in boosting investment and trade cooperation in several areas such as tourism, agriculture, textile and technology.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of the Republic of Macedonia (MAFWE) aims to lease state - owned agricultural land in the Dzumalija region (eastern part of Macedonia), with an area of 4.435 ha. The aim of this announcement is to initiate expressions of interest from prospective investors and qualified companies to invest in the agricultural sector.

The companies should submit a business plan that includes the following:
- Amount of the total investment;
- Description of implemented technology, specification of mechanization, and
- Projected number of employees by years;

In order to initially identify interested parties, the MAFWE invites potential investors to submit a Letter for Expression of interest (EOis) in English by 22th April 2015 (for additional information,please refer to the contact details below).

The EOI’s should include: Company profile (including legal and ownership structure, a summary of financial statements for the last three years, and a short description of the business of the company).
