RDA-Workshop 2015 in Cologne
Leading international trade-only exhibition for the coach tourism sector
41st RDA-Workshop took place from 21st to 23rd July 2015 in Cologne. RDA-Workshop is the largest European B2B sales and purchasing platform for thecoach and group travel sectors.
The Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism of the Republic of Macedonia and Macedonian companies from tourism sector attended the RDA-Workshop. During the RDA-Workshop service providers from Republic of Macedonia presented their products and services to international tourism companies.
The comprehensive cross-section of offers, destinations and ancillary services has established the RDA-Workshop as the leading purchasing and sales exhibition in its field – worldwide.
The RDA International Coach Tourism Federation e.V. (founded in 1951) represents the complete spectrum of coach tourism business activity. The RDA is the leading federation in Europe for coach and group tourism with ca. 3,000 member companies and several associated federations in more than 40 countries and over 70 branches. These include coach companies, tour operators, tourism federations, destination marketing organisations, visitor attractions, culture and events suppliers, carriers, hotels and restaurants.
The primary goal of RDA political engagement is the promotion of modern and environment-friendly coach and group holiday travel. The RDA represents coach and group tourism interests with close contact to and active lobbying of economic and political decision-makers at both national and international levels.

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski led a team for investment promotion to Paris.The business forum was held on Friday 26th of June to present the Macedonian business climate before French companies. Organized by the Macedonia 2025 organization, the forum featured three panels, that also included Foreign Affairs Minister Nikola Poposki, Minister Goran Mickovski and Deputy CEO of Invest Macedonia, Kliment Sekerovski.
"The World Bank ranked Macedonia 94th in the ease of doing business in 2006, and now we are ranked on 30th place. In order to overcome our handicap of being a small country with a small economy, we have free trade agreements with all countries in Europe, both in and out of the European Union, except for Russia. These agreements allow for free exports from Macedonia", Gruevski said.
"We offer lowest taxes in Europe and lowest costs for opening a business, as well as in logistics, energy and in competitiveness of the work force. Macedonia offers series of opportunities to invest in technological industrial development zones, where investors are freed from paying income tax in the first 10 years and also pay no value added tax and customs for their imports", Gruevski said.
Steve Sharpe, President and CEO of Euromax Resources which is already working on major mining developments in Macedonia, said: "Our experience in Macedonia is excellent. The Government showed full understanding in all issues we discussed. Many European countries could learn from the way they interact with business and bring in foreign investment. We have constant dialogue with ministers that are available 24 hours a day".

On 18 June 2015, Deputy CEO of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion of Macedonia, Kliment Sekerovski attended the Vienna Economic Forum where topics like: Regional Cooperation on demand, Investments needs and possibilities in the West Balkan Countries as a part of the whole Region, Economy is the motor, and the like were discussed.
Mr. Sekerovski gave a presentation with the aim to highlight the investment opportunities in Macedonia as well as the economic integration of Macedonia and the economic cooperation with the other countries, as well as further input to the common regional economic development.
