Van Hool of Belgium manufactures approximately 1,400 busses and coaches and more than 4,000 units of semi-trailers, tank containers and other commercial vehicles annually. With a workforce of approximately 4,000 and annual turnover of over 450 million EUR, Van Hool is the largest integral bus manufacturing company in Western Europe. The buses for public transport produced by Van Hool range from 8.6 m-midi bus to a 25m-double articulated low floor bus. Van Hool has a reputation for designing and producing high quality products according to a modular concept. 

Van Hool holds major positions in different export markets.  80% of company’s production is exported to Europe, America, Africa, and Asia.

Van Hool’s investment in production facility in TIDZ Skopje 2 is the company’s first strategic investment in production capacity outside Belgium, which subsequently celebrates their 65th anniversary. This Greenfield  investment project is worth around 22 million EUR andis built on a parcel of 11.76 hectares.

The facility start the production in July 2013, continuously increasing the number of employees, achieving the goal of 430 employees in the end of the year 2013. The planed annual production is 400 buses.Products are intended mainly for the U.S., but the company is working intensively also on the European countries market.
